RYAD TERMS AND PRIVACY NOTICE, Effective Date: 19 August 2026

RYAD by TeenzNet Foundation is committed to protecting the privacy, dignity, safety and wellbeing of every participant, particularly children and young people. By participating in the RYAD event, participants and, where applicable, their parents/guardians acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

  1. Privacy and Confidentiality – Information shared by participants during the event—including personal, family, emotional, educational, safeguarding or other sensitive information—will be treated as confidential and handled responsibly. RYAD will not publish, disclose, reproduce, share or otherwise use confidential information for publicity, marketing, research, media, social-media or other purposes without the appropriate authorization, except where disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect a child or another person from actual or reasonably suspected harm.
  2. Photography, Video and Media Permission – Participants and/or their parents or guardians grant RYAD permission to photograph or record them during the event for legitimate organisational purposes, including RYAD magazines, newsletters, reports, websites, social-media campaigns, promotional materials and other publications relating to RYAD and its activities. RYAD will make reasonable efforts to ensure that such materials are used respectfully and in a manner that does not intentionally embarrass, demean, exploit or place a participant at risk.
  3. Safeguarding - RYAD maintains a child-centred safeguarding approach. Any concern relating to abuse, exploitation, neglect, serious harm or the immediate safety of a child may be reported through our safeguarding officer (rosemary@teenznet.org, +234 703 853 3032) or any other appropriate safeguarding channels and, where necessary, referred to relevant authorities or professionals in accordance with applicable law and safeguarding procedures.
  4. Responsible Use of Information – Personal information will be accessed only by persons who have a legitimate reason to use it and will be handled with appropriate care and security. RYAD will not sell participants' personal information or use confidential information for unrelated purposes without proper authorization.
  5. Acknowledgement – By participating in RYAD, I acknowledge that I have read and understood these terms and privacy provisions and agree to it, and to support the protection of participants' dignity, privacy and safety.
